Members Social Calendar of Events 2010

All presentations are held in the roundhouse lecture theatre commencing at
19.30 and finishing between 21.45 and 22.00. Doors open at 19.00.
Presentations are held on the 3rd Thursday of every month.
Hot and cold drinks are available from the buffet before 19.30 and during the interval.
Free parking on site.
Admission is normally £1.50 for members and £2.00 for non-members.
Everyone welcome.

Mick is no stranger to Barrow Hill having worked locos on and off shed many times during is footplate career of almost 44 years, based initially at Canklow, followed by Tinsley and latterly Rotherham Masborough. The show tonight includes many of the lines within an approximate 25 mile radius of Sheffield.

The presentation covers the period from opening to the present. (The presenter having been a Fireman at Bromsgrove in the early 60’s) Many pictures are from the presenter’s own collection, however, some are from others and due acknowledgement is given for their permission for them to be used.
Part 2 Running Charter Trains in Switzerland
My own recollections and pictures of my charter trains in Switzerland from 2005 to 2010. From beginnings in association with Mercia Charters, to running my own charter company, Charters Helvetica. Some of these charters have been a first in some of the branches visited and lines used.
